Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished psychologist since 1993 and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is well-known for her pioneering modern research of the memory of children as eyewitnesses and also the application of child victimization in court. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer who has received many prizes and grants. She has collaborated with numerous government agencies and institutions around the globe on policy and research relating to children who have been victims of the legal system. She is an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of numerous professional organizations, which include that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
